Dear Patient
You are now approved for surgery and in doing so we must ensure that you agree with our policies, guidelines, and conditions. Likewise, we would like to make sure that you have understood what our surgeon has explained or will explain at the mandatory physical pre-examination which will take place prior to your surgery. Therefore, please read the below very carefully.
Plastic surgery is very much about expectations and it is important to balance the expectations prior to the surgery. There are some risks associated with plastic surgery and it is important that you are aware that certain complications may occur, some of which may need correctional surgery, others do not.
Below is a list of complications/risks which you must agree with:
- Hematoma – bleeding
- Infection of the surgical wound
- Loss of sensitivity in the nipples or in areas around surgical wounds, scars, etc.
- Riplings – areas where you can feel the implant around the edge
- Rotation of the implant
- Nerve damage
- Swelling
- Stretch marks
- Thickened, wide or crooked/uneven scars
- Water retention that may require depletion
- Tissue death / necrosis
- Losing the ability to breastfeed
- High sitting nipples
- Asymmetry
- Daily or periodic pain
- Too little fullness in upper breast region
- That the implant size does not meet expectations after surgery
- That the implant profile does not meet expectations after surgery
- Desire for subsequent T-incision after tummy tuck/abdominal plastic
- Broad areola after surgery (that they pop out due to the heaviness of the implants)
- Furthermore, it is important that you agree to the following:
- The surgeon always removes the greatest possible amount of skin/tissue at the stomach, thigh or arm plastic (?). In a few cases, more than one operation may be required to achieve the desired result. This is NOT considered a correction.
- Lifting breast surgeries – max 450 ml implants are inserted in order to minimise the risk of some of the most common complications. It may therefore be necessary to have larger implants added later to achieve the desired result. This is NOT considered a correction.
- In some cases, to achieve the desired result, it may be necessary to do breast lift 2 times. This is NOT considered a correction; however, a special price is given on breast lift number 2.
- In the case of breast enlargement surgery with implants, it is always the patient’s anatomy and skin elasticity which will determine the location of the implants as well as the durability of any lift.
- You cannot set an implant higher than the patient’s anatomy (breast fold, musculature) allows. The surgeon always sets the implant as high as possible.
- Implants move both up and down as well as from side to side at jumps or similar movements. An implant is not fixated as a “screw” as it is the skin elasticity that determines the degree of fixation of the implant.
- There is no guarantee of the durability of fat injections into breasts, face, buttocks, etc., as the duration will differ from patient to patient. Patients who smoke will risk losing fat quicker (?).
Discounts are available on fillings of own fat.
If you book your surgery 6 months or more/further in advance, we cannot guarantee that the selected/preferred surgeon will be available to perform your operation.
Capsule formation:
We have 10 years capsule insurance for NONsmokers and 5 years for smokers. We replace the faulty capsule one time within the warranty period, and only in case of capsule formation and i.e., not necessarily both implants. If you prefer implants which are made to minimize the risk of capsule formation, or if you have had capsule formation in the past, we offer custom made implants at an additional price.
Reservations.

- Solely the clinic is responsible for medical and surgical results, not the Agency. LXK Medical Marketing LTD has no influence on this decision.
- LXK Medical Marketing LTD has the option to appeal a rejected complaint and have it tried in the Medical Committee at the clinic. The clinic shall comply with the decision of the Medical Committee.
- If a patient is rejected for a correctional surgery by both the operating surgeon and the Medical Committee, LXK Medical Marketing LTD may choose to compensate part of the cost of the correctional surgery, if the patient decides to have it done anyway. This will be assessed individually.
